Georgia Hearing Aid Dispatch

The need is real, the solution is here

Helping Georgia Hear

Only around 30% of hearing-impaired adults in the United States actually have hearing aids. The rest are deterred in large part by the hefty price tag: It’s common for one hearing aid to cost several thousand dollars. The Georgia Hearing Aid Dispatch, in partnership with the Georgia Public Service Commission, removes the financial barrier to care for low-income Georgia residents and provides hearing aids at dramatically reduced costs.

In 2022, the Georgia Public Service Commission unanimously awarded the Georgia Charitable Care Network the contract to serve as the new administrator of the Georgia Hearing Aid Distribution Program. The program, funded by the Public Service Commission, provides hearing aids to low-income Georgia residents. GCCN coordinates the care referrals between the patients, audiologists and hearing aid manufacturers.
